Articlehues is built on principles of data minimization. We never sell your personal data, we do not deploy third-party advertising tracking pixels, and we protect reader anonymity by default.

We collect minimal information necessary to deliver our publishing platform:
- Account Credentials: Email address and username when you register an author account.
- Author Profile Content: Display name, bio, profile image, and custom links you choose to publish.
- Published & Draft Articles: Text, images, and formatting submitted to the platform.
- Essential Operational Logs: IP address and user-agent string stored temporarily for security and rate-limiting.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is solely used to render your articles, process membership subscriptions via secure payment gateways (Stripe), provide analytics to authors, and maintain infrastructure stability. We do not engage in behavioral advertising.
3. Reader Analytics & Privacy
Articlehues analytics are privacy-first. We do not track users across the internet or construct cross-site behavioral profiles. Reader view counts are aggregated anonymously.
4. Data Retention & Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
You retain full ownership of your data at all times. You have the right to:
- Export all your stories, media, and subscriber lists in open formats (Markdown, JSON).
- Request immediate deletion of your account and all associated data.
- Update or correct your personal profile information at any time.
