Huawei Mate X7 Global Launch: Big Fold, Bigger Ambitions

Key Highlights:

-Global price set at EUR 2,099
– Features Kirin 9030 Pro chipset
– Packs 16GB RAM and 512GB storage
– Sports 8-inch OLED inner screen
– Includes triple RYYB camera setup

Huawei has finally launched the Huawei Mate X7 globally, just a month after its China debut. The new foldable arrives with a sleek book-style design and powerful hardware that targets premium buyers worldwide. The global model comes in Black, Brocade White, and Nebula Red shades.

Interestingly, Huawei has priced the global variant at EUR 2,099, which roughly converts to Rs. 2,20,000. The Chinese version, however, started at a lower CNY 12,999, showing Huawei’s different pricing strategy for international markets.

A bright 8-inch folding display steals the show

The Huawei Mate X7 features an 8-inch flexible LTPO OLED inner screen with up to 2,500 nits brightness. The cover display measures 6.49 inches and reaches an even brighter 3,000 nits. Both panels support refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz, delivering smooth animations while saving battery when needed.

Moreover, Huawei uses its second-generation Kunlun glass on the external screen for better durability.

Kirin 9030 Pro powers the premium foldable

Huawei continues its push for in-house silicon with the Kirin 9030 Pro chip. It pairs with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, offering enough speed for daily tasks and demanding apps. The foldable runs on HarmonyOS 6.0, which is not based on Android and focuses on Huawei’s own ecosystem.

Triple RYYB camera system enhances low-light performance

The Mate X7 includes a 50MP primary camera with a variable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0. It sits alongside a 40MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP telephoto camera, all using Huawei’s RYYB sensor tech. The device also offers two 8MP front-facing cameras, one on each screen.

Large battery with fast charging support

Huawei packs a 5,300mAh battery in the global version of the Mate X7. The phone supports 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging to keep it ready through the day.
