The new PlayStation monitor features a 27-inch QHD display with a 240Hz refresh rate. It supports HDR and variable refresh rate (VRR), offering smooth visuals for competitive and immersive gameplay. However, when connected to a PS5, the refresh rate is capped at 120Hz due to console hardware limits.
This makes it an appealing choice for players who switch between PC and PlayStation gaming setups. It’s part of Sony’s growing focus on creating hardware that caters to both communities.
DualSense charging made easier
One of the standout features is its built-in DualSense charging hook. The hook folds out from the back of the monitor, allowing gamers to rest and charge their controller after a session. It’s a simple yet clever addition that fits neatly into Sony’s design philosophy of blending function with form.
The new PlayStation monitor will launch in Japan and the US in 2026, though Sony hasn’t shared the pricing yet.
